Anonymous asked: Hi there! Have you considered making a Facebook page to go along with this blog? I know it could lead to a lot more hate, but I also think it would be very beneficial. Just a suggestion. :)

I have thought about it. I prefer to keep my name separate from this blog for the time being, and anonymity for me and others is trickier on Facebook, so I’m not sure yet what purpose it would serve other than to publicize the blog. I’ll keep it in mind!

Anonymous asked: I'm really scared. And I don't know what to do. I'm late in my cycle, and the last time I had sex, the contraception might not have been fully effective. I don't want to be a mom, but I'm not old enough to fully make that decision if I need to.

I’m answering this over at Bébinn. I believe in you, anon!

I come to this blog every day. I don’t need an abortion right now but I just need to be reminded that there is love and support for women who need and want abortions. With so much hate and focusing on politics we forget the human aspect of abortion. This page is really uniting women across the country and it makes me so happy.

THANK YOU!

Orlando, Florida

Hi! I’m Ariel and I live in Orlando, Florida near UCF. I am willing to provide transportation and I’ll try to make your favorite baked good for you so you can have it before or after the procedure. I can offer you support, advice, and babysitting, but I don’t have experience with infants. You can contact me through my blog: nutellexual

Thank you, Ariel!

I can provide transportation in Indianapolis, I live about 30 minutes from AFS and the Clinic For Women, and about 20 minutes from Women’s Med, and there is a Planned Parenthood clinic about five minutes from my house. We also have a guest room that can be available for recovery. I live on the east side of Indianapolis, in Cumberland. My ask is always open!

Thank you, legacyofthunderstorms!

As an aside: To contact someone through their Ask box, type /ask after their blog address, e.g. http://abortionassistanceblog.tumblr.com/ask. Sometimes people have them set up, but they may be hard to find on their home page.

DFW Area

Hello. My name is Rachel. I’m 20 years old and I live near Plano. I am willing to drive up to three hours to provide transportation, which means that I can get anywhere in the DFW area. I can offer meals and lodging, and when I can, I will definitely provide financial support. I believe that Texas law requires two visits to a clinic, one for an ultrasound and the second for the procedure. My house has a guest bedroom, so you will be comfortable staying here if you need to, and have the support of my whole family, and even a dog (she’s hypoallergenic so no worries about allergies) to help calm any nerves. My email is rachel.ongaku@yahoo.com and my ask is always open for anyone who needs to talk. Don’t be afraid to contact me if you need help.

Thanks, Rachel!

You are correct, there is a 24-hour waiting period after the state-mandated “counseling” written to dissuade patients from going through with the abortion. You can see more state policies on abortion at the Guttmacher Institute.

Hey, I’m Emily. I’m in southwest Ontario and just wanted to say that I’m available to provide transportation, some finances, child care or even just a shoulder to cry on. Something about hospitals here is they won’t let you leave without someone to sign for you so you don’t collapse somewhere so I can even do that. Just show up to the hospital and wait to sign you out and take you home. I’ve been there and done it and I’m willing to help others in their decision. My ask is always open!

Thank you, Emily!

I’d be willing to give rides to anyone needing to get to the KC area.  I’m located in Manhattan, but would be willing to pick someone up in Salina/Lawrence/Topeka etc… I’m also available just as an ear to listen/hand to hold if anyone in the Manhattan area needs that!

Thanks, myfirstnameisweird! You’re the first offer from Kansas!

I’m the anon from CT. I live near Manchester, and the clinic I have an appointment at is allll the way in Bridgeport :/

Okay! That’s about an hour drive. You can check the #connecticut tag, and there’s one other person, m0therwolf, who may be able to help. Is there some way to contact you, maybe email? Strictly confidential unless you say otherwise.

I don’t know your circumstances, but there are a few Planned Parenthoods closer by that offer medication abortion (up to 9 weeks), and the West Hartford Center is about a 20-minute drive and performs abortions up to 15 weeks and 6 days after the start of your last period. I don’t mean to imply you haven’t done your research, but I thought I’d offer that, just in case!

Transportation in Volusia County Florida

I’m Jo, and I’m able to provide transportation throughout Volusia (Daytona,  Port Orange, New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater, Oak Hill, etc). I do not expect anyone to chip in for gas, so don’t worry. I can also be a non-judgmental listener if you just need someone to talk to. Email me at chambergambit@gmail.com.

Thanks, Jo!

“I am available on weekends to provide child care, rides, hand holding and general support in the New Orleans/Metairie area with a driving radius of about 80 miles. A crash/recuperation location in the guest room may be available on a case by case basis, but that would have to be worked out with the significant other. I’ve accompanied friends to the clinic for abortions so I have some experience. Anyone who needs to can get in touch with me via email at rowen265@gmail.com.”

Thank you!

To the anon asking for help in CT

if you are anywhere near Danbury I can help. Can you specify what area of CT?

Hope anon gets back to us! Thank you, sweet-far-things!

Is there anybody in CT willing to help out with transportation and/or moral support? I’m only 17 and could really use some help.

-Anonymous

There’s one offer from Juli in Connecticut (click on her name to see her blog, then click on “What do you want to know?” up at the top of her page). If you email abortionassistanceblog@gmail.com with some more specifics, we may be able to find someone in your area.

My name is Marla and I live in Birmingham, Alabama. I’m able to provide transportation to/from anywhere in Alabama, childcare, and moral support. I was a minor when I had my abortion and had a judicial bypass, so I can help anyone who has questions about that process. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you’re in AL and are considering abortion, because I know how difficult the decision can be. I’d love to just talk with you. I can be reached through my ask box. :)

Thank you, Marla!

Hi there. My name is Rosie and I live in Fayetteville, Arkansas. There is a Planned Parenthood that provides medical abortions in town and a clinic that provides surgical abortions in Tulsa, 2.5 hours away from me. I am willing and able to provide transportation, child care, and a place to stay before and after the procedure. If I’m able to at the time, l will do everything I can to provide financial assistance.

Also, I’ve had two abortions myself. I’ve been in that position and I know how hard it can be. I’m here to listen to anyone that needs to talk to someone and if you have no one to go with you to your appointment, I went to both of mine alone and it sucked so I will totally go with anyone who needs a companion <3
